Message from Twiddle:

We are very sorry to report that our Lake George shows are cancelled this weekend. Our team spent the last 48 hours working through every possible scenario to not only make sure that the experience would be as great as possible given the current guidelines , but to make sure the event was safe in every way. We are just as upset and sad as you are and wanted nothing more than to play live again for all of you. We are extremely sorry, but safety has to be first and foremost. Tickets are available for refunds at point of purchase and we are working on something special for all those that had a ticket.💔

TIP – Quarantine Concert Series

Quarantine Concert Series Featuring TIP.
Albany based TIP. They’re an alternative rock group that skips across congruous genres, creating another in depth, unique collection worth diving into.

The Blind Owl Band – Quarantine Concert Series

Hailing from Saranac Lake, NY, in the heart of the Adirondack mountains, The Blind Owl Band has been creating what they call Freight Train String Music since 2010. And a freight train it truly is. Although the quartet’s sound is rooted in traditional stringed instruments (guitar, basses, banjo and mandolin), their music surges forward with the strength and power of a hundred-ton diesel locomotive. Songs barrel down the tracks with momentum and intensity normally found in much heavier, heavily amplified music. “Although we look like a bluegrass band we are not,” explains co-founder Eric Munley (mandolin, vocals). “Collectively, we’re a musical representation of the sounds floating around in our heads. We use the instruments of our ancestors, but play music of our time; we’re influenced much more by all that has happened in the musical world over the past three decades than by what was created in the first three-quarters of the 20th Century.” The Blind Owl Band builds on what they regard as a basic approach to traditional songwriting and arranging and push the envelope, stretching the limits of raw, acoustic instrumentation. Munley explains part of the band’s mindset: “In a time of perfection and an increasing reliance on digital processors, we’re trying to expand the sound, to inspire use of wood and metal.” In just under ten years the band has released three albums (Rabble Rousing, This Train We Ride is Made of Wood and Steel & Skeezy Patty) and toured extensively throughout the eastern US, logging nearly 800 shows across 17 states since January 2012. They’ve played on almost every festival east of the Mississippi and shared the stage with countless artists across all genres of the musical spectrum. This freight train has no one conductor but four shovel boys pushing the limits of their engine night after night, so climb aboard and get ready for a one-of-a-kind ride.

Harvest & Rust – A Tribute to Neil Young – Quarantine Concert Series

It’s hard to represent the wide-array of Neil Young’s influential material in one show, but that’s exactly what the band HARVEST & RUST does. Based in Western Massachusetts, the core four members of HARVEST & RUST often augment their show with other well-known local musicians to reproduce every era of Neil Young’s music. Be it the chart-topping HARVEST material (including Old Man, Heart of Gold, etc.) to the electric explorations of RUST NEVER SLEEPS (Hey Hey My My, etc.), as well as songs from Neil’s time in Crosby Stills Nash & Young and Buffalo Springfield, you’re in for a night of “complete Neil”.

Jocelyn & Chris Drive In Concert

Dogs In A Pile – Quarantine Concert Series

Dogs in a Pile is the culmination of a love of music born from the deepest American roots of psychedelia, jazz, fusion, funk, traditional, and rock & roll. Sprung from the rich Asbury Park music scene in New Jersey, their serendipitous convergence has made for the kind of kindred intuition its members had only once dreamed of. Described as “listening to a single moving organism,” the sum of its five parts represents an original journey into the peaks and valleys of psychedelic improvisation, all while remaining reminiscent of so much we love of life and music.

Mikel Jollett: Hollywood Park Virtual Book Tour

Join Mikel Jollett on his HOLLYWOOD PARK book tour: an exclusive, online event series. Mikel will discuss his remarkable life story, perform exclusive material from the new album, Hollywood Park, and have a Q&A with the audience. Tickets include a signed copy of the book, which will be mailed to you in late May.  Private links to participate in the event will be emailed to you a couple of days before the event.

HOLLYWOOD PARK is a remarkable memoir of a tumultuous life. Mikel Jollett was born into one of the country’s most infamous cults, and subjected to a childhood filled with poverty, addiction, and emotional abuse. Yet, ultimately, his is a story of fierce love and family loyalty told in a raw, poetic voice that signals the emergence of a uniquely gifted writer.

We were never young. We were just too afraid of ourselves. No one told us who we were or what we were or where all our parents went. They would arrive like ghosts, visiting us for a morning, an afternoon. They would sit with us or walk around the grounds, to laugh or cry or toss us in the air while we screamed. Then they’d disappear again, for weeks, for months, for years, leaving us alone with our memories and dreams, our questions and confusion …

So begins Hollywood Park, Mikel Jollett’s remarkable memoir. His story opens in an experimental commune in California, which later morphed into the Church of Synanon, one of the country’s most infamous and dangerous cults.  Per the leader’s mandate, all children, including Jollett and his older brother, were separated from their parents when they were six months old, and handed over to the cult’s “School.” After spending years in what was essentially an orphanage, Mikel escaped the cult one morning with his mother and older brother.  But in many ways, life outside Synanon was even harder and more erratic.

In his raw, poetic and powerful voice, Jollett portrays a childhood filled with abject poverty, trauma, emotional abuse, delinquency and the lure of drugs and alcohol.  Raised by a clinically depressed, narcissistic mother, tormented by his angry older brother, subjected to the unpredictability of troubled step-fathers and longing for contact with his father, a former heroin addict and ex-con, Jollett slowly, often painfully, builds a life that leads him to Stanford University and, eventually, to finding his voice as a writer and musician.

Hollywood Park is told at first through the limited perspective of a child, and then broadens as Jollett begins to understand the world around him. Although Mikel Jollett’s story is filled with heartbreak, it is ultimately an unforgettable portrayal of love at its fiercest and most loyal.

West End Blend: Tribute to Stevie Wonder ***CANCELED – PLEASE SEE EVENT DESCRIPTION***

***THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED***

Official statement from HiLo:

The staff and performers are the lifeblood of HiLo North Adams. As such, we asked each of them to decide for themselves whether or not they wanted to perform or work this weekend. They have all decided it best to postpone all of the shows over the next three days.
This is difficult for both staff and performers as, for many of them, this is their main source of income.
If possible take some time and see if any of your favorite touring musicians offer music or merchandise on their websites and place an order… Any way we can help through these economically difficult times.
Thank you to everyone for their support while we all make difficult decisions around COVID-19. We will continue to monitor the virus and stay in close contact with our staff and artists about their safety and concerns.
