The Garcia Project’s performances are based on actual set lists performed by The Jerry Garcia Band. All of their shows are classic recreations of a Jerry Garcia Band set list from 1976 to 1995. For anyone that never had a chance to experience the Jerry Garcia Band or for fans that want to relive a classic show, The Garcia Project delivers.
With precise arrangements and the proper instrumentation and feel for the various eras, The Garcia Project faithfully channels and projects the feelings, emotions and music that propelled the Jerry Garcia Band and the fans through many years of musical bliss.
Praised by Dennis McNally, the press, and fans, The Garcia Project has been recreating classic Jerry Garcia Band set lists with stunning accuracy and detail. They recently finished their new album called “Spirit: a tribute to Jerry Garcia and the spiritual songs he performed”, produced by Maria Muldaur and featuring Jerry Garcia’s bandmates Peter Rowan, Jacklyn LaBranch, Buzz Buchanan and Maria Muldaur.
“I spent a lot of nights in a lot of places with the Jerry Garcia Band, and I’m here to say that I really enjoy what The Garcia Project does with those memories. Mik’s guitar and his and Kat’s vocals stir up some very sweet vibes…sometimes they almost make me feel like I’m back in, say, 1992 at the Warfield. Check ‘em out.” — Dennis McNally, former publicist for the Jerry Garcia Band
“For those of us who crave late 70’s (and through the 80’s and 90’s) Jerry Garcia Band, The Garcia Project scratches that itch for hearing live renditions of Jerry Garcia Band shows from that period.”— Bob Minkin, legendary Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia Band rock photographer
“I became an official member of The Garcia Band in 1977 through 1979…. Recently, I was asked to sit in with a wonderful band called The Garcia Project, who lovingly and reverently recreate different specific sets of the Garcia Band in their hayday. They don’t merely recreate Jerry’s music, they are channeling it. The Garcia Project brings us all back to that special time and I’m excited and blessed to participate in giving new and old audiences alike, the chance to relive the Spirit & Magic of the Jerry Garcia Band.”— Maria Muldaur
“…it was hard to tell that it wasn’t Jerry signing on “The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down…The Garcia Project’s attention to detail on intonation and performance structure does set them apart as an authority on Jerry Garcia.” – NYS Music
“In order for a tribute band to be successful, fans need to look at them as the authority on the artist they are emulating. The Garcia Project pulls it off effortlessly. Go see them live …The Garcia Project is the whole package.”– Jim Gilbert, Upstate Live
“The Garcia Project was on point with the whole experience and it didn’t seem like a cover band more like a mirrored band…they are just as real as the Jerry Garcia Band. “– Buffalo FM Review
“”Deadicated“ to carrying on the music and vibe of Jerry that so many still carry in their hearts.”– Albany Times Union

Hailed in a four-star Rolling Stone review as “a mutant strain of retro pop steeped in New York lore,” Daddy’s Home, the sixth album from Annie Clark, a/k/a St. Vincent, is the latest facet of an ever-evolving artist widely regarded as the most consistently innovative and intriguing presence in modern music. In the winter of 2019, as her 2017 masterpiece MASSEDUCTION‘s earned, St. Vincent her first GRAMMYS, her father was released from prison. She began writing the songs that would become Daddy’s Home, closing the loop on a journey that began with his incarceration in 2010, and ultimately led her back to the vinyl her dad introduced her to during her childhood. The records she has probably listened to more than any others: music made in sepia-toned downtown New York from 1971-1975 – gritty, grimy, sleazy. The first full broadcast from St. Vincent’s synthesis of this came in the form of “Pay Your Way In Pain” and “The Melting Of The Sun” – played live before a crowd for the first time during her recent return to Saturday Night Live – highlighting Clark’s ability to shred both vocally and on the debut appearance of the newest model of her signature Ernie Ball Music Man guitar. In the weeks since, the grit of 1970s vinyl would meet the grain of 1970s celluloid with “Down,” the infectious third and final offering in advance of Daddy’s Home’s May 14 elease. The reaction to the full album was immediate and ecstatic, with raves including “In an industry crowded with artists who claim singularity, there is perhaps no musician more deserving of the label than St. Vincent” (Interview), “St. Vincent’s sound is more electric than ever” (Los Angeles), “St. Vincent has gotten to the point where we can’t look away, because there’s just nobody in indie pop quite like Annie Clark” (Paste), and so many more. St. Vincent is now taking 2021’s most talked-about record on the road—don’t miss out on the invitation to spend the night with Candy Darling in the world of Daddy’s Home.

Wild in the Trees is our way of paying homage to all efforts made to raise money to build the Lake George Skate Plaza while embracing all the incredible musical talent regionally and beyond. Back in 2008, local skateboarders in Lake George, NY brought to the town’s attention the need to have a skate park. Through various town board meetings and the creation of a skateboarding committee put together by skaters, family members and community leaders, it was time to raise money to make the dream come true.
Throughout the early 2010’s, local skateboarders held various fundraisers over the years including spaghetti dinners, coin drops, benefit concerts and much more. Between all the efforts locally along with a few grants, the skateboarders were able to raise nearly $100,000. By 2014, the park was designed with oversight from the local skaters. In 2015, ground was broken at the newly created Charles R. Wood Park and the dream was realized. The Lake George Skate Plaza attracts skateboarders from all across the northeast and beyond each year giving kids a safe place to skateboard without getting in trouble.

About Kat Wright
“Frighteningly good” – Boston Public Radio
Kat Wright, whose voice is both sultry and dynamic, delicate yet powerful; gritty but highly emotive and nuanced, has been described as “a young Bonnie Raitt meets Amy Winehouse”. Add to that voice enough stage presence to tame lions, and the combination of feline femininity proves immediately enchanting. There’s soul flowing in and out of her rock ‘n’ roll with a serpentine seduction. Some of soul music’s sweet, grand dames belt, shout, seethe, and succumb, while Wright sings gently like a heartache’s apology. It’s funky in spots and beautiful all over. And it hurts a little … like it should.
