Time: 6:00pm-
Location: 495 Magic Mountain Acc, Londonderry, VT 05148, USA (map)
Advance ticket sales have ended – walk up tickets will be available this evening.
The plan is to start the show with Sam Luke Solo inside The Black Line Tavern
and then move the show outside for Gubbulidis! (weather permitting)
“Bands and Beats Give Back” presents an evening of music at Magic Mountain to raise funds for our local mountain communities and individual businesses and homeowners dealing with the effects of flooding–all of whom are not covered by insurance . All ticket proceeds will go to the Stratton Foundations Flood Relief for Londonderry and other mountain towns, to aid our local southern Vermont small businesses and homeowners adversely impacted by flooding. Tickets are just $20 online, $25 at the gate, so be sure to buy tickets online at least a day ahead. There will also be 50/50 raffle for one lucky winner and many other raffle winners for tons of great prizes we are collecting from local restaurants and businesses, including season passes to Magic, Bromley and Stratton; rounds of golf at Manchester Country Club, Equinox Golf Club and Stratton, and much more to raise additional funds (see below list of raffle donors)–so please come to the show and purchase raffle tickets! Raffle drawings will happen throughout the show. The headliners are the duo of Mihali Savoulidis and Zdenek Gubb (“GUBBULIDIS”) of Twiddle. DJ Joe Bell will spin tunes before and after the GUBBULIDIS set, plus Sam Luke Solo plays starting at 6pm. Joe Bell and all the musicians are donating their performances to the effort and we thank them! August 4th from 6-11pm–gates open at 5pm! (If you can’t make the show but want to support flood relief, please direct a donation to Stratton Community Foundation or Neighborhood Connections in Londonderry and note that your donation should go to mountain towns most affected by the floods in southern Vermont, such as Londonderry and Weston among others.
It will be an uplifting evening of music and support for the community! A time to relax and enjoy great music and each other’s company as we all continue the work of getting our small businesses, homes and towns back together. Children 10 and under are free. It’s a rain or shine event on the deck of the Black Line Tavern and the surrounding hill side, so bring an umbrella or rain gear if there are chances for rain. Food will be served out of “to go” windows at base lodge, near the tent and inside the tavern out of the Base Camp windows. There will be a bar on the deck as well serving draft beer, wine and seltzers in addition to the Tavern being open. Picnic tables will be up by the Black Quad Chair and under the tent. The hillside can be used for seating with the deck as SRO, no tables to accommodate the crowd and dancing. Port-a-Potties will be available around the lodge. No outside coolers, alcohol or food are allowed to be brought into the event on Magic property. No dogs for the event as well. Parking will be in lots A and B. Do not park in either adjacent condo or inn properties. Be careful on access road as deep ditches along sides of roadways remain from the flood, so use caution. Thank you for your support!
We’d like to thank Bromley Mountain and Stratton Community Foundation for partnering with us in putting on this Benefit Concert and directing fundraising to those most in need here locally.
Thank you to our honor roll of Raffle Partner Donations from our local establishments worth thousands of dollars!
