It was cold and blustery outside in our little northern town on that fateful December night in 1977, but inside the air was thick with the shrill cries of my mother’s hard fought labor.

Um, yeah…I’ll start again.

So I’m kind of a renaissance guy within the EQX universe. In my former life I was an archaeologist (Insert cold hushed voice here: ”I dig dead people.”) Since then I have taught people how to stay alive in (and hopefully enjoy) the outdoors, and when not busy at EQX I currently manage a local business and volunteer with a couple of organizations that help to promote locally-owned independent businesses. Oh yeah, I’m also a new dad, which of course is like having about five other occupations at once as well.

Music has always been a huge part of my life. Alternative is certainly my favorite genre, but I’ll throw in jazz (in another former life I was a jazz trumpet player), classical, electronic, reggae and classic rock as well. And (gulp) I’m also a closet 80s pop fan.

In closing, let me say that I’m an award winning sports trivia geek who values good sarcasm and that I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks.
